Sandy Henderson formed Rug Rats on her kitchen table back in 1987 -- But how was this done?

Sandy Henderson formed Rug Rats, her custom carpet and rug making business, on her kitchen table back in 1987. Rug Rats was started with just $500 after she was asked to produce a carpet using a Matisse cutout as inspiration. That first carpet really tested her rug making skills, but it wasn't long before she figured out how to cut, sculpt and create the design she was looking for. It was than that the business really took off.

Rug Rats is based in Farmville, Virginia and it's from here that the one of a kind carpet and rug making masterpieces, are shipped to all four corners of the country. They also have a retail showroom where they sell their own custom designs, as well as some of the world's best carpet lines from other leading manufacturers.

The diversity of the Rug Rats product lines is impressive, from Kitchen rugs and children's rugs to rug runners. They say their secret is they concentrate their carpet and rug making business on creating high-end products at a very competitive price. They also have a way of turning a customers dreams into reality.
